This is the very first official video of HIM, often called finnish version. You can see the old formation of the band with Ville Valo (Vocals), Mige Amour (Bass), Lily Lazer (Guitar) and Juhana "Pätkä" Rantala (Drums). You won't find the former keyboarder Antto Einari Melasniemi acting in this video as he is the director and doing his job behind the camera. On some HIM fanpages, the director is credited to be Kaisaniemi Smal, but I don't know what's the story behind this. The location of the video is Kaivopuisto, a nice park in Helsinki town. The dog, which you can see sometimes, belonged to Ville's parents. |

With PR-machine starting to roll in Germany, HIM decided to do a second Wicked Game video - shot and released (almost complete at least) on a kinda Promo-Multimedia-CD in Germany and also called german version. Alike to the first, finnish version of Wicked Game, you won't find keyboarder Antto Einari Melasniemi in this video, although the director is now german Markus (Yes, Markus with a "k", not Marcus with a "c") Walter. Some say, he appears for some seconds in one scene. The story of the clip is taking place throughout all four seasons of the year. |

There are three video versions of Join Me around: Two with scenes from the less successful Roland Emmerich film "The 13th Floor" and one german version with laser show only. In every video you see Ville Valo as an androgenic and very female looking young man with a lot of make up and wearing a silver shirt, a fur coat or acting topless. Only sometimes you see the other band members in the background. You can also see an unknown, blonde and naked female, but just very unreal. |

The video of the second hit single from Razorblade Romance was shot in a studio in finnish Helsinki. No more glamour but straight rock style is the message of the song as well as of the video. The girl staring in the clip is 16-year-old finnish model Ninja Sarasalo. Some say, that there are two versions of this video differing in e.g. guitar intro and some other scenes. |

Remarks: |
The video of Poison Girl is some kinda low budget production, simply using different camera angles of the concert in Berlin on March 29th 2000, in bootleg circles known as Overdrive 2000 and some other shows of the Razoblade Romance Tour 2000. No story, but pure live experience with HIM acting in front of a well tempered audience. |

Gone With The Sin comes in two different versions: A finnish and a german one. The german one uses a natural color balance and many scenes are projected on naked bodies of three women and one man. The finnish version uses a bright and flamboyant color balance, making the whole scene more surrealistic. The projections on naked bodies are left out. |

For the release of the single Join Me and the album Razorblade Romance in the UK, HIM decided to fuel their popularity by making a new video of Join Me called ice or european version. Shot in a studio in London, Ville appears as feminine and with a similiar outfit like in the german version. As well the clip is not that gloomy compared to the german version and the other band members can be seen more often. |

Gaining a foothold in the UK, HIM decided to make a new video of Wicked Game (again). This time the location is a pretty run-down looking striptease club called "On The Rocks" in London, UK. A female stripper is doing her job and marks the difference of the two versions of this video. The clean version is well censored, while the rude or hard cut version shows all a female stripper has to show in her job. |

Remarks: |
Another video shot in UK. Main gimmick of this clip is that the background of the scene could be rocking through frame whilst the artist stays relative to the camera and vice-versa. Therefore HIM band members had to be attached to a rolling stage rig as well as a camera in front of them. For details see this page. |

Shot in UK, some say even in the same studios like Pretending. No hightech this time, but a more sentimental and silent video appropriate to the song. Female actress is Nicolette Groeler, a south-african model. |

The first video of the album Love Metal. Stefan Lindfors, a director born on Aaland Islands, an archipelago between Finland and Sweden, shot the clip on various locations in northern scandinavia. Some scenes were shot on the arctic ocean in Norway, some other scenes nearby finnish towns Kilpisjärvi, Hyvinkää and Porkkala. Temperatures have been 20°C below zero and sometimes even colder. |

This is the first video with Bam Margera as director, trying to push HIM to prominence in USA. Little story about Juliette Lewis, quite well known actress and female star of this clip: Her husband Stephen Berra is a skateboard pro just like Bam Margera. Bam asked Stephen to ask Juliette to act in this video and when she heard HIM's music, she liked it and agreed. The video comes in an international version and a surgical mix, where all smoking scenes were substituted or cut out. |

Again a video with director Bam Margera. The clip lives from the ancient surrounding and atmosphere of the castle as well as of its interiors. Nice side story of the videoshot is about czech model Vanda Vosatkova. When hiring her for the video, it wasn't known, that she couldn't speak english. While being on the set, she needed a translator to get the instructions right. |

Bam Margera - Part III. Shot in Los Angeles during some promotional work of HIM in USA, the video is not that spectacular or costly produced like Buried Alive By Love or The Sacrament. Interesting note is, that one of the girls appearing in the video, is Bam Margera's spouse Jennifer Rivell. |

Quite comparable to the german Wicked Game video, the scenes are dark and atrabilious, taking place inside and outside an old castle. Although US-actress Rose McRowan was supposed to take part in the video, no women appear, as McRowan had to call off short dated. |
